About program
The power and art of storytelling comes in many forms. Whether you aim to be on camera, on the mic or behind the scenes, at CMU, you’ll be part of one of the most comprehensive electronic media programs in the country. Students in the broadcast and cinematic arts program hit the ground running as freshman, getting hands-on experience with Central’s award winning on-campus TV stations, Moore Hall Television and at our radio stations WMHW (Mountain 91.5 and 101.1 The Beat). Join the team at News Central 34, our student newscast; Moore Media Records, our student record label; or watch films with The Film Society. Develop your networking with media professionals through national organizations such as Alpha Epsilon Rho/National Broadcasting Society, the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Alliance for Women in Media.
